Journey to becoming a P&D musician :
Going to the Glengarry Highland Games when I was 10 or 11 sparked my interest in becoming a piper, so when I turned twelve I joined the 57 SD&G Highland Army Cadet Corps in Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Here, pipers from the SD&G Highlanders taught me the fundamentals in piping.
I first met Robert McCarthy through McCarthy Highland services to get piping supplies. He eventually invited me to join OCal for some practices in 2020, and in 2021 I competed with the band for the first time. This past year I've been appointed with the task of helping tune the pipe corps whenever we play.
Best Band Story :
Maxville 2024 was the most successful games I've competed in by far in my piping career. On the Friday I competed in the Grade 4 March and I also played for my twin brother who plays Grade 4 snare, and we both won our competitions. And on the Saturday, the band won the grade 5 medley, naming us the 2024 North American champions.
