Favourite Tune :

Hidden Talent :
Adaptability and flexibility with almost anything.
If I had a warning label what would it be?
Don't feed whiskey and/or bacon after midnight - he might bite
Journey to becoming a P&D musician :
I was invited to learn under the tutelage of the former RCMP Pipe Sgt Charlie King who was introducing bagpipes to my cadet squadron at the time - similar to what Allan and Rob do now. There I was shown a video of SFU at the world's which sparked something. In 2006, I heard harmonies alongside the bagpipes and knew I'd be playing for the foreseeable future. I then did cadet camp during the summer where I played continuously and then immediately joined the Sam Scott memorial where I learned about competing for the first time. I then joined OCal (who were called the 78th Frasers at the time) where I have since played an integral role in building the band into what it is today.
Best Band Story :
First it was walking through the fake gates and smoke machine at night for the Maxville Tattoo my first year of piping, hearing the mass bands resonate. More recently, it's been playing in the beer tent after winning the Gr. 5 North American Championships at Maxville in 2024.
