Journey to becoming a P&D musician :
I started playing the drums at age 7, though I don't remember what mighty force drove me into this idea.
Drumming quickly became my passion; I played very frequently all through my youth. Unfortunately I was unable to bring my huge and loud drum set with me when I left home to attend university. Being forced to scale down, I began exploring the highland snare as it required only one drum. This led me to join and compete with a Grade 3 band. This all happened in Germany, where I grew up.
After moving to Canada in 2020, I was dedicated to continuing my hobby. I joined the Guelph Pipes and Drums during COVID where I attended virtual practices before relocating to Ottawa in 2022 and joining OCal.
Best Band Story :
While playing in the German band, we always rented a bus to travel to competitions. We used the 6-hour travel time on our way to the competition to have last-minute practices, and the rides back home were even more exciting. I can't tell which of the many drives was the best one as they all involved legendary parties and stories that would better-off not be published..
