Journey to becoming a P&D musician :
My journey to piping began when my family and I were at a park watching a parade. My mom really wanted one my siblings and I to play the bagpipes.
An opportunity to learn came up one day when colleague of my mom's had told us about a piping studio nearby.
I started by learning tunes on the practice chanter, then got my bagpipes two years later. I later moved on to compete where I continue to improve.
Right now I’m having a lot of fun in the band which has helped learn many new tunes!
Best Band Story :
At the 2024 Maxville Highland games, I had be practicing the Sweet Maid of Glendaurel and it was 37°c. It was really hot, and I was just exhausted but I got help from a grade 1 piper there and I ended up placing in the competition - even despite the heat.
