Jaymee McCarthy
Jaymee originally a orchestral percussionist, followed in her fathers footsteps quickly. She started playing piano at the young age of 7 and switched to percussion when she hit high school. Jaymee completed her studies at the University of Ottawa Bachelor of Music program in percussion. With in her time at the University of Ottawa she studied with Jonathan Wade, Kenneth Simpson and Andrew Harris of the NAC Orchestra and was also guided by other great musicians like Daniel Gress, David Currie and Alain Trudel.

Being the Daughter of snare drummer Allan McCarthy and niece of piper Robert McCarthy, Jaymee started playing Tenor drum with them in the 78th Fraser Highlanders and quickly switched to bass drum. She instructs at Ottawa Caledonian and at Air Cadet Squadrons, 5, 832, and 742. Beyond Music, when Jaymee is blessed with free time she enjoys spending time outdoors, with friends and hiking.
